Version Conventions

NConstruct version conventions follows a numerical convention consisted of three numbers: Major, Minor and Update. The version is presented in the Major.Minor[.Update] form.

Major Release (X.0)
Major code base rework or rewriting, significant architecture changes, intensive refactoring and optimizing, many new features and enhancements. Major release may be completely incompatible with prior major releases.
Minor Release (1.X)
Moderate set of new features, smaller architecture changes. Mostly compatible with previous minor releases (within the same major release).
Update Release (1.0.X)
Bug fixing, sometimes also smaller functionality enhancements or few new features. Compatible with previous update releases (within the same minor release).
